Holiday Cookie Gift Packaging Pt. 1

Holiday Cookie Gift Packaging Pt. 1

With the holiday gift giving season upon us, I can think of no better gift than a bunch of homemade cookies. As I've said before, give me a box of cookies, I'll give you a giant hug in return (key to my heart). I'm probably not the only one who feels that way (I hope I'm not anyway), so here are a few ways to give the gift of cookies to others this year. I'll go cookie by cookie, and while each label is customized to fit the specific packaging, it doesn't mean you can't interchange with different packaging options and create something shiny and new, specific to you!

Speculoos Reindeer (and a few weenies) Gift Packaging

Here's what you'll need:

Put one or two reindeer or two to three weenies into each self sealing cello bag, seal and set aside. Using the Speculoos Reideer Gift Packaging Template, print as many label sheets as you'll need (you'll be putting four bags into each box) onto your 2 1/2" round label sheets. Add a handful of crinkle paper to the bottom of your take-out box then add four cello bags to the box and top with crinkle paper as desired. Close box and wrap ribbon around (top and bottom) then cut 3/4" shorter than the full width. Secure one end of the ribbon to the top of your round label, press top of label onto box and wrap around box till the ribbon comes around to the bottom of the label. Hold ribbon taught and secure the bottom of the label.

Peanutiest Peanut Butter Cookies Gift Packaging

You'll need the following:

Put one cookie into each cello bag, fold down top a couple times, seal with tape or sticker and set aside. Using Peanutiest Peanut Butter Cookies Gift Packaging Template print as many sheets as you'll need (you'll be putting six cookies into each can) either onto sticker paper or regular paper. If you're printing onto regular paper, cut out each label (with either scissors or soft grip knife and ruler) then run through sticker machine. If you're printing to sticker paper, simply cut out with scissors or soft grip knife and ruler. Put six cookies into each can and then affix label carefully to the left of the seam so that the right edge lines up with the edge of the seam (therefore hiding the seam).

Brown Butter Thyme Shortbread Gift Packaging

You'll need:

Start by stacking six shortbreads on top of one another and wrapping with parchment paper strips. Secure each stack with bakers twine. Insert stack into a cello bag with white card board insert, roll top down a couple folds, secure with tape or sticker and set aside. Grab a handful of crinkle paper and add to each coffee bag. Put a stack into each bag, roll down top of bag three folds and secure with tabs. Using template, print as many sheets as you'll need for all your bags (either onto sticker paper or regular paper). If you're printing onto regular paper, cut out each label (with either scissors or soft grip knife and ruler) then run through sticker machine. If you're printing to sticker paper, simply cut out with scissors or soft grip knife and ruler. Fold label above the "Happy Holidays" so that it'll fold perfectly over the top of your bag. Secure the front folded side of your label to the bag (leaving backing on the back side of the label). Wrap bakers twine around the bag twice, tie on fresh thyme to the front (middle), then wrap around ends to the back and tie. Trim edges and secure back of label.

Orange Cardamom Butter Cookies with Angostura Royal Icing Gift Packaging

Put one cookie into each self sealing cello bag, seal and set aside. Grab two handfuls of crinkle paper and fill bottom of tray with a layer that reaches about halfway up the sides of the tray. Put five or six cookies into each tray then put tray into 5" x 3" x 11-1/2" cello bag. Roll down side at least once and secure with tape. Affix label to cello where ever you please!

Package and Gift!

Hoping these labels and packaging ideas help to spread the holiday cookie cheer this year! x
