I owe you lots of life updates. We moved to Mar Vista, which is amazing because it’s closer to the ocean (it’s just inland of Venice Beach). I’ve been showing you around via IG stories but I *promise* to do some room by room tours here on the blog soon. My cookbook is in its final stages (eeepppp!!!)—we’re about to go to the printers and I have an official cover and publication date!
It's hard to believe that it's been so long. The last time I was here, the year was ending. And now here we are halfway through the new year. Needless to say, we've got lots to catch up on, so please, let's keep the conversation going, 'cause it's official, I'm back in the blogosphere!
It's been a relatively quiet end of the year here on Fix Feast Flair and for that I'm sorry. I've done a terrible job of keeping you up to date on my many fantasy football failings. For the record, I am currently battling for 11th place of 12. So there's that.

The first time I visited Amsterdam was about 6 years ago... ouch, that makes me feel really old. It was during my Christmas break, the year I taught English in Madrid, and it was one of the coldest winters in Amsterdam, or that's what people told me or maybe what I told myself?!
Remember that time I went to Vermont for Cheese Camp with Vermont Creamery? And then I promised I'd tell you all about it, but then went on a million trips and didn't? Well, let me start by saying, prior to my visit in August, I was a Vermont virgin and was not prepared...
We've been home for a couple weeks now and I can proudly say that I've finally unpacked the last of my travel gear and washed my last load of trip laundry. I'm finally back on a semi-normal sleeping schedule and staying up late enough to hang out with friends.
